The days are getting shorter, the weather is getting colder and the end of the year is getting closer. The latter months are always the busiest ones and whilst deadlines may be approaching, there is always time to put on a thick coat, drink your weight in hot chocolate and just lose yourself in festivities. Bath offers a variety of wonderful things to do and creates the perfect Christmas experience to brighten up the winter months.

Take a walk around Southgate

Southgate is a popular area in Bath and is home to many wonderful high street shops and great places to eat. Even though it is beautiful all year round, it really lights up during the winter months, working its magic to bring a white Christmas to the centre of Bath. It truly is the perfect place for Christmas shopping.

Enjoy a drink in the Après-Ski Bar
23rd November – 21st December

The Après-Ski Bar at the Abbey Hotel is a much-loved attraction. It captures the sense of the Alps and brings it to the centre of Bath. The bar sets an icy scene so that you can enjoy a warming mulled wine or a signature ski boot cocktail within the cosy walls of a chalet. As well as festive drinks, the bar serves a mouth-watering cheese fondue sensation to keep you warm during the cold nights!

Check out this year’s Christmas Market…
23rd November – 10th December

One of the most anticipated winter events is the Bath Christmas Market. People come from all over to experience the joys that it brings. With over 200 stalls around the streets of the Bath city centre, the market offers treats like mulled wine and brownies. It is the best location to find the perfect gifts and stocking fillers for loved-ones. This year the market also welcomes the new and exciting Yorkshire Pudding Wrap, which will warm you up for your adventures around the market.
SpaLife’s Top Tip: Make time to visit the market during the week if you want to avoid the crowd!
